Now this is a wedding theme we haven’t seen yet and we are loving it! Navy blue, red and gold make a gorgeous color scheme for this Hawaii destination wedding in Maui and the traditional tea ceremony. Check out these sparkling Jimmy Choo wedding high heals placed along an amazing piece of 3D artwork of the Hawaiian Islands.
A fun part of some weddings can be “Door Games,” which have become popular in Asian countries as well as in America. The bridesmaids start off by hiding the bride as the groom and groomsmen are tasked with accomplishing cute little challenges like dressing up, performing and song or dance, or in this case, making a little romantic statement out of bread slices. These door games are a fun way to lead up to a first look and are sure to lighten the mood and shake off some of those nerves before the wedding ceremony.
How stunning is this red traditional wedding dress with green details and flower embroidery. The tea pot and tea cups were also a vibrant shade of red. The groom wore a navy blue suit with a blue and grey striped necktie. The bridesmaids wore strapless navy blue dresses while the groomsmen wore grey suits.
At the hill top wedding ceremony over looking the ocean, guest we treated to these sparkly gold and navy blue personalized fans with the couple’s name and wedding date. The navy blue background was accented with the stars and constellation motif creating an “Under the Stars” theme. The aisle seats were adorned with small bouquets of white flowers. The ring bearer held a raw cut wood piece that was personalized. The ceremony venue greeted guests with a wood framed chalk sandwich board.
This picture perfect Hawaii destination wedding was expertly planned and coordinated by Cherise at The Perfect Wedding Maui. The wedding reception under the stars was capped off with dancing and a multi-tiered wedding cake featuring lots of yummy buttercream frosted cupcakes and a round top tier cake. The cake topper was a pennant flag with the wedding date and hearts. The cupcakes we accented with flags of China and the USA to celebrate the combining of two cultures and families.

The cute little flower girls wore tulle dresses with shades of purple and helped carry this sign announcing “Here comes the love of your life” as the bride and her father prepared to walk down the isle of the Turtle Bay Resort Pavillion Chapel . From this beautiful open air wedding ceremony chapel you can hear the waves crashing on the rocks, spot surfers out on the waves, and witness one of the best views of sunsets on Oahu that you will find! It’s no wonder why this is a popular location for Hawaii weddings and one of our favorite venues for our Hawaii wedding photography and video team.
A few days after this absolutely stunning destination wedding on Oahu we did a “Post wedding photo session” or “Trash the Dress” session on the North Shore of Oahu. These are really great opportunities to get more wedding portraits at various locations and under much less stress and hustle that happens on the day of the wedding ceremony and reception. Our cute couple was able to get more wedding photos with the ability to sit and walk along the sand and get some photos with extra cute touches like the surf board. We hope you have liked these wedding photos and video as much as our photography and video team did capturing these moments! We seriously have the sweetest couples!

I can’t even put into words how sweet this couple is. The couple came together in the hallway of their Oahu wedding venue to share their love letters before the ceremony. There was no peeking during this time, but the bride and groom held hands the whole time, shed tears and laughter, and took the last few moments together before they made that walk down the aisle to make it official! This is the oceanfront Hawaii wedding venue Lanikuhonua found on the West coast of Oahu among the Ko’olina Lagoons. Musicians played and sang traditional Hawaiian music as the guests arrived and were seated. Guests were given woven fans to shade themselves during the ceremony. The Bride and Groom stood in front of their closest family and friends as they exchanged leis and their vows with the Pacific Ocean, palm trees and mountain range as a backdrop.
This Oahu wedding reception was adorned with coral and teal paper lanterns and strings of lights. Reception tables featured a real pineapple as the centerpiece, white gold plates as table numbers, as well as mason gars with shells and tea lights on burlap table runners. The bride and groom’s chairs had personalized wood signs hanging with “Mr” and “Mrs” written on them. Guests were greeted with seating cards of teal and coral wave shaped tags tied onto starfish. What a cute tropical wedding detail! The bride and groom gifted each guest with a mason jar of Hawaiian Res Alaea Salt as the wedding favor.
The newlyweds cut their single level square cake with the cutest cake set ever. The silver cake cutting set was stamped with their names and “Together Forever” and two forks were stamped with “I Do” and “Me Too.” All of these cute wedding decor details created a fun atmosphere that carried from the ceremony through the reception. This fun loving bunch danced the night away under the colorful paper lanterns and strings of lights and ended the night with a kiss and a dip!
