Perfectly golden beams of light really accented this cute couple as they stood exchanging vows with Waikiki Beach in Oahu right beside them. This bride and groom had impeccable modern style which they brought to the decor and overall aesthetic of their wedding ceremony and reception at the Diamond Lawn at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel. While the Surfrider is one of the oldest hotels on Waikiki Beach, this couple proved that modern style and decor is the perfect compliment to this vintage style Hawaii wedding venue!

We love love love this photo because it captures the true atmosphere of this whole wedding; fun, lively, classy, vibrant! (Just check out their Save the Date!) This morning wedding ceremony at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in Honolulu Hawaii had a great ending with the all of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, and the lovely bride and groom all dancing their way through a shower of bubbles. This couple had the right idea by offering bubble guns to their guests. There were tons and tons of bubbles and their guests didn’t have to huff and puff at all!

Despite my disdain for Kanye West and his uncalled for praise of Beyonce, you gotta give it to the girl. Whenever we hear Beyonce’s song “All the Single Ladies” play at a wedding reception, we KNOW that all of the ladies in the room are going to get excited for the bouquet toss (sometimes TOO excited). It is so much fun to see nicely dressed women in heels jumping and clawing into the air for the flowers. So, thank you Beyonce for getting all the single ladies out there pumped up and motivated to catch that bouquet!

This beautiful wedding reception was at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in the Ballroom. You can see more of this wedding at the beginning of our 2009 slideshow here.

This groom had some style! Dressed in a traditional Filipino dress shirt, a barong, this groom added some Michael Jackson flair with a sequined glove for the first dance. This fun loving couple had one of THE BEST first dances we have seen. They entered the Ballroom at the Moana Surfrider Hotel and the groom broke out into an impressive Michael Jackson dance. Everyone loved it and we were laughing along with them as we photographed their wedding in Honolulu Hawaii.

Shazarie and Nicholas came all the way from Washington for their intimate beach ceremony at Waialae Beach Park.
Shazarie and her girls got ready at one of our favorite places, the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel at Waikiki Beach. It was an absolutely gorgeous day with perfectly blue skies out her window as she got her hair done by Sarah of Wendy Robin’s Studio W. You may recognize makeup artist Wendy Robin’s name from our previous article about Eric and I modeling wedding gowns for the Oahu Wedding Association meeting at Masako Formals. If you haven’t yet, you must check out Wendy’s work. Not only is she a sweet person who does amazing hair and makeup, she has also done makeup for celebrities including Carmen Electra, Ali Landry, and Michelle Rodriguez.
Shazarie, Nick and the whole group were picked up by two limos and taken to Waialae Beach Park for their ceremony which was officiated by Shazarie’s father.
