L’Amour Photography’s work was featured tonight on VH1′s Wedding Wars premier! You may recognize contestants Mario and Melinda from our previous post of their fun engagement photo session in San Francisco. This gorgeous couple have been together for 12 years and are ready to do anything and everything humanly possible to win their ultimate wedding . Mario and Melinda are battling it out against 11 other couples on VH1′s new reality show to win their dream wedding. Wedding Wars was filmed here on Oahu at Turtle Bay Resort and as we all just learned on Wedding Wars Episode 1, these competitive couples started out their Hawaii get away in the private Ocean Villas. Unfortunately, their relaxing ocean front accommodations were swept out from under them as they headed off into the jungle to get better acquainted with the natural landscapes of Hawaii. Only grass huts, bugs, spiders, rain water, and rice & beans for the rest of the competition! We can already tell, things are about to get ugly. If you missed this episode, you can view it on VH1′s website here.

Bride and Groom With a Horse at their Turtle Bay Destination wedding in Hawaii
Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu was the perfect Hawaii wedding venue for this couple’s destination wedding. This bride and groom are avid animal lovers who chose Turtle Bay Resort’s Stables for their wedding ceremony followed by a wedding reception in the seaside Pavilion. The stables at Turtle Bay offer a very unique atmosphere for an Oahu wedding venue. Turtle Bay resort stands alone as a wedding venue with its unique combination of accommodations and venues. There is not much more you could ask for from a Hawaii wedding venue with its beautiful ocean side accommodations away from the “big-city” life of Waikiki, a country style venue with horses and a red barn, golf course, beautiful open air glass pavilion wedding chapel, and beautiful beaches with a spectacular view of the sunset.

Intricately detailed wedding dresses are always so much fun to photograph. It is these details that won over the heart of the bride after searching all over for the perfect dress for her Hawaii Destination Wedding. Sheer layers, beading, lace, ribbons, and broaches all add style to a wedding dress that really makes it stand out amongst others. This elegant wedding dress was a cream colored sheath dress with beading around the bodice accented by two ribbons and a simple train. The beaded edge of her fingertip length veil was the perfect match for a classically elegant destination wedding dress.
