About - Hawaii Wedding Photographer

L'Amour Photography is a husband and wife wedding photography team based out of Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii with a carpe diem attitude towards living life to its fullest and a passion for photography. Wendy and Eric have developed a mixed style of photojournalism and traditional for their wedding phography. Based out of Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, L'Amour Photography specializes in international destination wedding photography.

Set up by a wise friend, Wendy Leslie and Eric Mansperger knew very early on that they were made for each other and that their lives were about to change in amazing ways. Eric and Wendy married and as two lives became one, they took each other's names and became the Leslie-Manspergers.

Eric and Wendy were introduced early on to photography by their parents who instilled a love of art and creativity in them at a very young age. While Wendy's father was teaching her photography with the camera he carried around the world during his Navy career, Eric was just a few miles away, losing track of time as his father showed him the ropes in the darkroom. Both dreamed of being photographers when they grew up, but neither knew they would someday fulfill those dreams.

Both went off to college pursing careers that felt safe. Wendy received two degrees, a BS in Human Development and a BA in psychology, from The University of California, Davis. She worked for relationship enhancement programs, counseling centers, and then the police department in her quest to play an aiding role in peoples lives. Eric received a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz and began a career in web/graphic design and software development.

While both met with success in their careers, both felt like they were only following their dreams for part of their life – the half that they spent together. Having both shared an intense love of photography, the decision was made. It was time to move on from the Silicon Valley lives they had built and follow the dreams inset upon them both so long ago. L'Amour Photography was born.
