Hawaii Wedding Photographers – L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Surfrider

Perfectly golden beams of light really accented this cute couple as they stood exchanging vows with Waikiki Beach in Oahu right beside them.  This bride and groom had impeccable modern style which they brought to the decor and overall aesthetic of their wedding ceremony and reception at the Diamond Lawn at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel. While the Surfrider is one of the oldest hotels on Waikiki Beach, this couple proved that modern style and decor is the perfect compliment to this vintage style Hawaii wedding venue!

Hawaii Wedding Photographers – L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Bruddahs

This beautiful old church is located in the historic area of Honolulu and dates back to 1842.  These groomsmen and the groom strike a pose in front of the Kawaiahao church right before the bride and bridesmaids arrive for the wedding ceremony. If you are looking for a catholic church with historical significance and beauty, you may want to check out our blog article on this wedding ceremony venue. Happy planning to you!

This shot really speaks for itself, but I think it also exemplifies the reason so many couples travel to Oahu for their Hawaii destination beach wedding.  With beautiful blue skies, crystal clear water, soft sand between your toes, warm sun shining down, and a calm breeze to cool you down, you really couldn’t ask for more on your wedding day.  Need more convincing? Living in one of the most remote areas of the world and in the middle of the Pacific Ocean has led us to meet people from all over the world who come to Hawaii to get married or attend a destination wedding. This cute couple came all the way from New Zealand for their wedding at the Ihilani Resort in Ko’olina.  L’Amour has happy clients all over the world, here are some places, just to name a few: Germany, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Wales, England, Russia, Bulgaria, India, Korea, Poland, Canada as well as all over the US!

Hawaii definitely has a plethora of interesting and beautiful locations to photograph. This is one of our favorites, mainly because it strays from the “typical Hawaii” shots that you will see everywhere. I love the jaggedness of the rocks and the stripes of different colors. In addition to that, we get a kick out of shooting at a location where scenes from Lost were shot!

Hard Rock Cafe has restaurants in almost every major city all around the world. There is no wonder why this cute couple all the way from Poland would choose Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu for their wedding reception. The awesome decor has hints of hollywood, rock and roll and of course, a little hawaiian style too!  Remember and be on the lookout; this particular venue will be moving closer to the heart of the Waikiki strip later this year.

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Spotlight

Good friends are hard to find. Any couple planning their destination wedding has found out that great wedding vendors can also be just as hard to find. Two of the vendors we have found here in Honolulu Hawaii are a great place to get your wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses and a wonderful hair and makeup team.

The Bridal Boutique has brides singing their praises all over Oahu and the Mainland for their awesome customer service and great selection of wedding gowns. The below photo shows a strapless satin wedding dress from the Bridal Boutique with beaded details accenting it’s mermaid shape. Simply elegant!

Hair and makeup for this shoot was done by the exceptionally skilled team at Studio W of Honolulu. Wendy and Heather have worked magic on one of L’Amour Photography’s own photographers, also named Wendy, on multiple occasions. While we can speak from first hand experience, we have also seen amazing transformations of many of our brides by the team at Studio W.

It is awesome to find both great friends and vendors in one!

Hawaii Wedding Photographers – Waterfront at Aloha Tower – Justin and Mishell

This beautiful blue and brown themed Hawaii Wedding took place on our personal favorite day of the entire year, Halloween at Waterfront at Aloha Tower.  This wedding was particularly special to our photographers because Eric was actually the best man in this wedding. Talk about multitasking!

Mishell was such a stunning bride in her ivory colored gown and cathedral length veil. Wendy and Heather of Studio W did a great job, as always, on Mishell’s hair and makeup.

Above is a nighttime shot of Aloha Tower during this Hawaii Wedding reception at the Waterfront. One of L’amour Photography’s lead photographers is shown giving a heartfelt Bestman speech. I have heard countless touching speeches but have seen very few that left so many of the guests wiping tears away as this one.

These are some of the most modern and unique styled champagne glasses for the bride and groom. This funky blue and brown fondant cake was done by Noel Nahale.  Two of L’amour’s team of photographers, Wendy and Eric, are pictured below partying it up with the couple’s Shiba Inu, Inuki, and the beautiful bride and maid of honor.

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Tying the Knot

Preparation is one of the most fun parts of a wedding day for us. There is just so much excitement and anticipation in the air. When a bride finally has her dress on and gets to see herself all made up and in her wedding gown, just like she had dreamed of since she was a child, its such a magical moment. You can almost see those thoughts of “wow, this is really happening!” going through their heads.

L’amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Small Blessings

To be part of any couple’s wedding is always such a great honor. Each wedding is so unique and offers so many insights into other religions and cultures for us. We have been fortunate to be a part of many different religious ceremonies including Catholic, Buddhist, Muslim and Mormon and cultural traditions including Japanese, German, Australian, Chinese, Hawaiian, Afghani, and Filipino . As today is Easter, we have chosen a photo for our “Daily Shot” that exudes faith and family. Happy Easter from the team here at L’Amour Photography!

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Reflections of Love

We absolutely LOVE today’s shot not only because of the wonderful couple and how obviously excited and in love they were, but simply the creative composition here.  Some people say that wedding photography is less of an art form because “they just take pictures of what is going on.” However, we feel quite the contrary.  Every setting, couple, lighting condition, etc really brings a new set of creative possibilities to each shot.  I think this photo really exemplifies how a simple shot can be turned into something very unique and wonderful (and without any hokey Photoshopping!)
