If you are thinking of getting married in Waikiki, then you have to take a look at this gorgeous wedding! Our lovely bride got ready with her bridesmaids in their suite at Hilton Hawaiian Village and the end of Waikiki Beach. Our photography team captured all of her outfit details while she finished up having her hair and makeup done. The bride got dressed in her stunning strapless lace wedding gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, embellished satin sash and a flowing, voluminous tulle train. Our bride accessorized her look with drop earrings, a sparkling bracelet, and a rhinestone embellished hair comb that held back one side of her side parted wavy hair do and completed her glamorous look with a cathedral length, lace edged veil.
The bridesmaids wore complementing tones of blush, pink and gold knee length dresses with sparkling details in beading or sequins.
The wedding ceremony was held at the glass chapel on the grounds of Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was formerly known as the Ocean Crystal Chapel but is now known as the Akala Chapel and Gazebo. This beautiful chapel has a plethora of windows which let the bright Pacific sun fill the white walled chapel with lots of light. The wedding guests sat on the white pews while the bride and groom exchanged vows, signed the marriage certificate and ended the ceremony with a kiss.
Directly outside of the glass chapel are cascading steps that lead down to a white gazebo.
How stunning is our bride in this lovely dress. Not to mention this beautiful flower bouquet with white, blush and pink flowers and lots of organically flowing greenery. The handsome groom wore a classic tuxedo and black bow tie. Our team captured their portraits on Waikiki Beach directly outside of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. You can’t beat that view of Diamond Head!
The newly married bride and groom partied the night away at their wedding reception. Fitted with crisp classic white table cloths, the tables were adorned with lush floral centerpieces in gold vases, gold and blush glass votive candle holders while place settings were set with gold rimmed crystal glasses and gold flatware. The oval backed clear chairs added a modern twist to the glamorous reception set up. Orchids and roses lent a bright pop of color to the candles in tall clear vases.
No wedding reception would be complete without the wedding cake. The stylish bride and groom chose a 3 tiered round cake with gold top tiers accented by a large fresh flower and a bottom tier in white fondant with hand painted flower motifs. The guests were also treated with cake pops, cupcakes and macarons! The cake table beautifully displayed all of the sweets on glass platforms among a lush flower arrangement. The sweet display was topped off with a set of large frosted cookies in the shape of the word “LOVE.” The bride changed into a sleek second white dress to dance the night away.

Hawaii Destination Wedding at Kualoa Ranch and Waikiki
Ok, I am a little biased, but I love kilts and Scottish culture! I was so excited to work on this Scottish couple’s sweet photos. Not only were they absolutely smitten with each other and so cute, but their wedding details and decor were beautiful too! Don’t leave it to me to convince you, just check out their photos here!
After the bride had her hair and makeup done at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, she got dressed in her wedding gown featuring a feather detailed sweetheart neckline pleated bodice and flowing ruffled skirt. Absolutely stunning! The happy groom was dressed in his family’s kilt pattern with a matching vest and necktie. They headed over to the windward side of Oahu to Kualoa Ranch for their intimate wedding ceremony in the valley.
You might recognize this stunning landscape from movies such as Jurassic Park or the hit TV show Lost! This mountain range makes for a breathtaking backdrop for a wedding ceremony in Hawaii. There wedding venue was set up with gold chivari chairs and white orchids displayed in a lovely pattern on the grass down the aisle.
Between the ceremony and reception, we all headed to Honolulu to capture wedding portraits of the newlyweds enjoying the views from atop a lookout. How cute is this Volkswagen bus with surfboards on top?
The entire wedding party with family and friends gathered to eat, drink and enjoy the views from Duke’s restaurant in Waikiki. The bride and groom’s chair was decorated with heart shaped slate signs that read “I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more.” So perfect! To finish off the night the bride and groom cut into their unique Jurassic Park themed wedding cake featuring two little dinosaurs on top of a flowing volcano! To wash it down, the couple chomped into their Lost themed Dharma Initiative brand can shaped cakes. All of these cute details came together so seamlessly for a truly Hawaii themed destination wedding for this pair from Scotland.
More wedding photos from 2015! Plus some more from Engagement Sessions and Family Portraits!
We are back to share more of what we have been up to in 2015. We have so many Hawaii weddings, engagement photo sessions, maternity photos and family portraits we want to share with you. Here are a few we hope put a smile on your face the same way it does for us. These wedding and portrait sessions took place at some of our favorite wedding venues and locations on Oahu as well as on neighboring Hawaiian islands of Maui and Kauai. These locations include Moana Surfrider Hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Koolina Paradise Cove Crystal Chapel, Hale Koa Hotel, Turtle Bay Resort, St. Regis at Princeville and Tiki’s Grill and Bar Coconut Club. If you are planning a wedding in Hawaii and need suggestions or recommendations, we are always happy to help our clients using our 7 years of experience as Hawaii wedding photographers and videographers! To see more about our wedding packages, portrait packages and Add-ons, see our “Prices” page on our website!
We love capturing all of the little details that the bride and groom excitedly chose in the months leading up to their wedding. The perfect shoes to dance the night away. Gorgeous wedding bouquet with colors and textures that add to the overall look of the bride, bridesmaids, groom, groomsmen and centerpieces! The right amount of sparkly and sentimental jewelry to make the bride feel and look as special as she should on her wedding day. The wedding rings are always a fun item to photograph as they are so personal and will be with the couple for the rest of their lives as the symbol of their commitment to marriage. We can’t forget special moments like the one below of the cute little flower girl covering her eyes as the bride and groom had their first kiss during their ceremony at the Crystal Chapel in Koolina!
We suggest to our couples an engagement session if possible a few months before their big day. This gives the couples beautiful photos to include on their wedding website or on their save the dates! Aside from those great reasons, it give the future bride and groom an opportunity to test out how they feel in front of the camera and gives our photography team the ability to work with the couple before the wedding day. It is always great if the couple is already familiar with and comfortable with the Hawaii wedding photography and video team by the time the big day comes! It’s not everyday that two people are followed around by so many photographers and videographers, so this little “practice session” can really help with the jitters. We also can add-on a portrait session to any wedding package for an after wedding or “trash the dress” session. This can be great for couples who have a tight timeline on the wedding day and want more photos. An after wedding session can also be great because the stress and rush of the wedding day has passed and the bride and groom can really be themselves with no one waiting on them and no schedule to adhere to or aunties and uncles grabbing them for hugs all night long!
Our Photography and Video team focuses on weddings the majority of the year, but when we get a chance we like to photograph engaged couples visiting Hawaii for engagement session, or families who want to capture memories of their special trip to Hawaii. We are always excited to watch our couples grow from fiances to bride and groom and eventually contact us for maternity sessions and family. We hope you enjoyed these photos! Oahu Wedding Photographer – Ashley and Andrew’s Wedding – Hilton Hawaiian Village
Ashley and Andrew had a beautiful outdoor wedding on the Lagoon Lawn at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. 100 of their family and friends traveled from all over (including Las Vegas and New Jersey) to celebrate the start of Ashley and Andrew’s new life together.
The stunning floral designs were done by Debbie Hemmingway of Designs by Hemmingway. We were one of the fortunate people chosen to take home one of the centerpieces and days later our house is still perfumed by the arrangement. Ashley’s wedding colors were royal blue, pink, and white. The 3 tier round wedding cake was done by Shelbys Sweets.
This wedding reception partied on late into the night in the Rainbow Suite of Hilton Hawaiian Village. Eric and I couldn’t help ourselves and had to get out on the dance floor for a few songs. Congratulations to this beautiful couple and best wishes from Eric and Wendy of L’amour Photography!

Oahu Engagement Photographer – Michelle and Wayne’s photos by L’amour
Michelle and Wayne came all the way from Sin City Las Vegas, Nevada for their wedding at Hilton Hawaiian Village’s Crystal Chapel. Unfortunately we weren’t available to shoot their wedding, but we did get the opportunity to shoot their “post-wedding portraits”/”engagment photos.” Michelle and Wayne were so great to work with. We hiked around the Blowhole Lookout and Sandy Beach and got some really awesome shots. This may be one of our favorite ring photos we have ever done.
We wish you of happy years together! Best wishes from Eric and Wendy at L’amour Photography.

Engagement Portraits – Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, Oahu – Alanna and Stephen
Introducing the future “Mr. and Mrs. Sin”!
As if there future married names weren’t awesome enough, this couple was so much fun to work with. Alanna and Stephen, hailing from Texas, wanted their engagement photos done during their vacation in Oahu. Eric and I took them to the 22-acre Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa in Honolulu to get a good variety of photos amongst the numerous backdrops including flamingos, penguins, waterfalls, amazing architecture, the beautiful Ocean Crystal Wedding Chapel, and the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon.
This newly engaged couple were up for anything we suggested for a good picture! Alanna and Stephen risked minor bodily harm as they whisked by each other on escalators, trying to kiss at the exact right time while trying to not smash their faces together. You would never know how difficult it really was judging by how effortless they made it look.
After a few hours of shooting, the four of us went down the beach for a few pina coladas and mai tais as the Hilton Hawaiian Village put on their weekly fireworks show. If that isn’t the perfect way to end a photo shoot, I don’t know what is!
We wish Alanna and Stephen the best as their weddings in Texas and Thailand approach!
