This beautiful couple from Poland flew all the way across the world for a beautiful Hawaii beach wedding here on Oahu and today, that is exactly what they got. The weather was absolutely perfect and really brought out the richness of the blue skies and clear ocean water. We were so excited about today’s shoot, we decided to make their image a Daily Shot of Love. Congratulations to this wonderful couple. Today is just the beginning!

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Tiny Bubbles
We love love love this photo because it captures the true atmosphere of this whole wedding; fun, lively, classy, vibrant! (Just check out their Save the Date!) This morning wedding ceremony at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in Honolulu Hawaii had a great ending with the all of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, and the lovely bride and groom all dancing their way through a shower of bubbles. This couple had the right idea by offering bubble guns to their guests. There were tons and tons of bubbles and their guests didn’t have to huff and puff at all!

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Sunset in the Garden
There are moments as a photographer that just strike you and you have to drop what you were doing and take advantage of the situation. This was one of those moments. As the sun set over the Ko’olau Mountain range at Haiku Gardens in Kaneohe Hawaii, the sunbeams began to dart through the trees and created the most ethereal glow around this beautiful bride and groom.

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Doggy Days
Ever since we adopted our 6 lb Miniature Dachshund, Sasha, we have been true “dog people.” We recently did an engagement session with the couple’s 85 lb German Sheppard and just had to share some of these images with you all. We had such a great time incorporating their dog with the engagement portraits on the beach at Waimanalo Beach and Sandy Beach on the West Side of Oahu Hawaii!

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Brotherly Love
This groom and his best man were so great to photograph. We just love how they were able to be themselves and joke around with each other during the portraits after the wedding ceremony at the JW Marriot Ihilani Resort and Spa in Ko’olina on the East coast of Oahu. We had a such a great time with this whole wedding party as they celebrated in the swanky Presidential Suite overlooking the whole resort.
L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love
We loved this set of rings – the vintage look of the engagement ring with the Hawaiian pattern on the grooms ring begged to be shot on top of her baby pineapple bouquet. I’m sure these rings will always remind them of their wedding in Hawaii.

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Money Money Money Dance
We love photographing the money dance. You never know what is going to happen, but in every case their is so much laughter and fun. A few cultures have the tradition of having some sort of dance where money if given to the bride and groom. Its always interesting to see the different variations of how its done. Here someone has made a lei of money and wraps it around the couple as they dance. We love when couples are able to incorporate cultural traditions into their wedding day!

L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – All the Single Ladies
Despite my disdain for Kanye West and his uncalled for praise of Beyonce, you gotta give it to the girl. Whenever we hear Beyonce’s song “All the Single Ladies” play at a wedding reception, we KNOW that all of the ladies in the room are going to get excited for the bouquet toss (sometimes TOO excited). It is so much fun to see nicely dressed women in heels jumping and clawing into the air for the flowers. So, thank you Beyonce for getting all the single ladies out there pumped up and motivated to catch that bouquet!
This beautiful wedding reception was at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in the Ballroom. You can see more of this wedding at the beginning of our 2009 slideshow here.
L’Amour’s Daily Shot of Love – Tribute to Michael Jackson
This groom had some style! Dressed in a traditional Filipino dress shirt, a barong, this groom added some Michael Jackson flair with a sequined glove for the first dance. This fun loving couple had one of THE BEST first dances we have seen. They entered the Ballroom at the Moana Surfrider Hotel and the groom broke out into an impressive Michael Jackson dance. Everyone loved it and we were laughing along with them as we photographed their wedding in Honolulu Hawaii.

Hawaii Wedding Photographer – Lisa & David’s Day After Session
Like I said in Lisa & David’s Halekulani Hawaii Wedding blog, one of the things that is true of every wedding day is that hours seem to turn into seconds and the day flies by. Lisa & David wanted to make sure that they spent as much of their day as possible with their friends and family, but still wanted to have wedding portraits at their favorite beach.
Instead of spending an hour or two doing portraits on the day of their wedding, they chose to do a day after session. Their big day went perfectly smooth, they got to spend more time with their friends and family, and they had a great beach session without all the wedding day anxiety.

Oahu Engagament Portraits – North Shore – By L’Amour Photography
This couple traveled all the way from Canada to Hawaii for a little getaway and decided what better place is there than Hawaii to have an Engagement Session! We traveled up to the North Shore of Oahu during sunset to do this session. The day was pretty cloudy which made for some beautiful colors! But, don’t take my word for it, check them out below.
We hope you enjoyed these North Shore Oahu engagement portraits as much as we enjoyed working with this wonderful couple!

Oahu Destination Wedding Photographer – Myla and Tommy – Makapuu Beach and Waikiki Beach
Myla and Tommy were such a great couple to work with. From the moment we met them, we were struck by how nice they were and how SO in love they were. We started our day with the beautiful bride as she and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done by Beauty By May in their room at the Waikiki Marina Resort at the Illikai in Honolulu. Myla wore an absolutely gorgeous ivory colored chiffon destination wedding dress by Maggie Sottero Destination with a corset back and an elegant one shouldered strap adorned with fabric flowers.
She honestly looked like she stepped straight out of a bridal magazine.
Her bridesmaid wore strapless fuchsia dresses. Tommy and his groomsmen wore simple white shirts and light khaki pants. Tommy wore a traditional wedding lei of maile-style ti leaf and white orchids. The group was whisked away in a stretched limo to Makapuu Beach for a private beach ceremony.
After a gorgeous beach wedding ceremony and a portrait session with the family, whole bridal party, we had a portrait session with just the bride and groom, just in time for the sun setting behind the mountains.
The bride and groom’s destination beach wedding ceremony was followed by a reception at the Top of Waikiki.
This restaurant is located on the 18th floor of the Waikiki Business Plaza in Honolulu. The Top of Waikiki restaurant makes a full 360 degree rotation every hour with stunning eagle-eye views of Waikiki Beach and Honolulu.
We had such a great time with this wedding. Thanks and congratulations to Myla and Tommy and thank you for having L’Amour Photography as your Hawaii Wedding Photographer!
