We are very excited to share a slide show of Kaori and David’s wedding at Haiku Gardens. They had a beautiful orange and brown themed Hawaiian garden wedding in the Tahitian chapel. Enjoy!
We wanted to share this slideshow we made for Shazarie and Nicholas (click here to see the blog on their beautiful wedding). It is always such a pleasure to shoot at the Moana Surfrider and their day was no exception. It didn’t hurt to have such a great looking couple or perfect weather at the Kahala Resort Beach Park either!
We recently got to take Michelle and Wayne back to one of Wayne’s old stomping grounds (click here for the blog article on their session) - Blowhole lookout and Sandy Beach. We can’t wait to visit these guys in Vegas!
The last 13 days for us have been jam packed! Just the way we like it! We are extremely grateful for each of the awesome couples we have gotten to work with in the last two weeks. We have had the best time photographing and meeting each of these couples.
Seven weddings, one “post-wedding” session, one portrait session, one senior portrait and two days of the Wedding Expo. We have traveled around Oahu to beaches, hotels, resorts, cliffs, etc. In just the last two weeks we have photographed at the Westin Moana Surfrider in Honolulu, Waialae Beach Park, Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore, Kaka’ako Beach Park, Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe’s Restaurant in Kaneohe, the Blowhole lookout point and Sandy Beach, Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Sheraton Waikiki, and Hilton Hawaiian Village. Wow, my fingers are tired now from all that typing!
Phew! No time for rest. We are flying out to California tomorrow to photograph a wedding in the Bay Area. We are so grateful to do what we love, work together, meet all of these great people, travel for work and visit our family and friends in California at the same time. LIFE IS GOOD !
Min and Juan had a long list of things they wanted to do when they went on vacation to Oahu Hawaii. Snorkeling, parasailing, laying out, shopping, and portraits. Min actually scheduled a portrait session for her and her husband of five years a surprise for him! What a cool surprise! We photographed around the newly reopened Royal Hawaiian Hotel , Sheraton Waikiki, and the beach near Hale Koa.
We had such a great time photographing this cute couples portraits we even hung out a bit after the session and talked about their hometown of Sacramento (near my alma mater, UC Davis) and, of course, the recent “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ drama! It’s true I have been sucked in!
Thanks Min and Juan for the fun afternoon in Wiakiki! Have a great snorkeling trip tomorrow!
Ashley and Andrew had a beautiful outdoor wedding on the Lagoon Lawn at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. 100 of their family and friends traveled from all over (including Las Vegas and New Jersey) to celebrate the start of Ashley and Andrew’s new life together.
The stunning floral designs were done by Debbie Hemmingway of Designs by Hemmingway. We were one of the fortunate people chosen to take home one of the centerpieces and days later our house is still perfumed by the arrangement. Ashley’s wedding colors were royal blue, pink, and white. The 3 tier round wedding cake was done by Shelbys Sweets.
This wedding reception partied on late into the night in the Rainbow Suite of Hilton Hawaiian Village. Eric and I couldn’t help ourselves and had to get out on the dance floor for a few songs. Congratulations to this beautiful couple and best wishes from Eric and Wendy of L’amour Photography!

If you have any questions at all please contact us.
Our friends over at Kai Media have been having some fun with some of the footage from the recent Oahu Wedding Association briadal fashion show. The opening shot is Wendy getting her hair done.. followed by both of us dorking around doing a husband and wife photo shoot.
Enjoy!
Thanks to Kai-Media for their awesome work! Check out two of our favorite Kai-Media videos. Wendy’s favorite is from a wedding in Lanikai (click here to see video). My favorite video is an “artistic battle music video.” I don’t even know how to put it into words. Its simply amazing! (click here to see video)
Michelle and Wayne came all the way from Sin City Las Vegas, Nevada for their wedding at Hilton Hawaiian Village’s Crystal Chapel. Unfortunately we weren’t available to shoot their wedding, but we did get the opportunity to shoot their “post-wedding portraits”/”engagment photos.” Michelle and Wayne were so great to work with. We hiked around the Blowhole Lookout and Sandy Beach and got some really awesome shots. This may be one of our favorite ring photos we have ever done.
We wish you of happy years together! Best wishes from Eric and Wendy at L’amour Photography.
We’ve been to some really fun receptions, but Kaori and David’s family and friends are in a league of their own! Kaori’s close friends even choreographed a dance routine involving fake mustaches, suspenders, balloon animal making, and spinning buckets of water! If that isn’t an equation for a lively reception and awesome pictures, I don’t know what is.
This amazing wedding was held at Haiku Gardens in Kaneohe on the windward side of Oahu. Haiku Event Coordinator Tina Scotty made sure every detail was perfect. Merryl of Island Treats Creations designed and set up the beautiful decorations and favors. The wedding favors were petite jars of Hawaiian honey packaged in brown paper boxes with a heart closure and orange ribbon trim. Kaori’s bouqet was made up of various tropical hawaiian flowers with vibrant orange, yellow, green and purples. Kaori wore a simply gorgeous ivory wedding gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline. Kaori’s viel was the perfect compliment to her stunning dress with scalloped edges thinly lines with ribbon. David wore a simple but sharp looking short sleeve ivory aloha shirt with a light pink tie.
