There is no denying that this gorgeous couple is absolutely in love! The excitement was definitely in the air when we arrived at Haiku Gardens in Kaneohe, Oahu to begin photographing this wedding. This stunningly beautiful bride wore a knock-out mermaid shaped dress with rouching on the bodice and a dramatic flared train. We love how this stylish bride wore a classic pearl necklace and an orchid in her hair to complement her striking wedding dress. More and more of our Hawaii destination wedding brides have been styling their hair with a flower, always on the left side signifying that you are now a married woman, in lieu of a wedding veil.
Check out these cute pink satin shoes!

This destination wedding couple had their wedding ceremony in the open air Tahitian Chapel at Haiku Gardens followed by an intimate dinner with their guests at Haleiwa Joe’s Restaurant at the same location in Kaneohe on Oahu. If you have never been to Haleiwa Joe’s for dinner or their popular Sunday Brunch, you really have to! Ridiculously large mai tais, the best prime rib we have ever had on Hawaii, delicious local favorites like edamame and ahi poke, and an array of locally caught fresh fish plates are just some of the reasons we always make it a point to bring our visiting friends and family members here. Aside from the food, just checkout that view! Simply breathtaking!
The view from this Hawaii Wedding Reception at Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe is amazing!
Congratulations to this wonderful couple and thank you for having us as part of your Oahu Wedding! Mahalo!
We have just returned from shooting a fun filled wedding on the beautiful Caribbean island of St Maarten and couldn’t wait to share a sneak peek with you all! This tiny island is known for its crystal clear teal waters, friendly people, wonderful food and the beachfront St Maarten Airport (SXM) landing strip. As the sun was setting on this bride and grooms destination wedding, we were lucky enough to be graced with the presence of an incoming plane! With the roar of jet engines preparing for take off and planes flying right over our heads, this was definitely the most thrilling sunset shoot we have ever done.

Yes, this photos is 100% real. No Photoshop inserted planes for us!
This wedding was so awesome to shoot, we will definitely be sharing their full wedding on our Hawaii Wedding Photography blog soon!
We are excited to say that one of our photos has been featured on Entertainment Tonight! This segment of Entertainment Tonight announces that supermodel, business mogul, and philanthropist Kathy Ireland is helping a very lucky military couple have their dream Hawaii Wedding here on Oahu!
L’Amour Photography photographed this wedding setup at Oasis World Estates in Honolulu with beautiful floral designs by Passion Roots and event design by REA Events and Design. This is just one example of the lavish Hawaii wedding ceremony setup that the military couples can imagine themselves enjoying as they walk down the isle if they are the winners of this extraordinary opportunity.
Blue skies, calm water, a clear view of the Ko’olau Mountain range, two gorgeous newly-engaged love birds and one handsome puppy all add up to a perfect recipe for a great Engagement Session and some fun underwater photos too!
This soon-to-be husband and wife wanted to have an engagement session that incorporated their love of their dog, stand up surfing and Hawaii. Now this is our idea of a perfect day at work! Living and doing wedding photography on Hawaii definitely has its perks! We can’t wait to photograph this couple’s Hawaii wedding this summer on Oahu.
This beautiful couple enjoyed a wedding day with classic elegance and a unique setting. We started off with the bridal preparation of hair and makeup at the beautiful Kahala Hotel. The bride wore a lace empire waist Monique Lhuillier dress, silver Manolo Blanik heels, with family heirloom jewelry creating a class yet contemporary look for her big day. Vintage style broaches and strands of crystals added sparkle to her bouquet of white calla lilies.
This Hawaii Wedding Ceremony was held on a beautiful yacht as the guests toured the waters right outside of Waikiki Beach on Oahu. Diamond Head was a great backdrop for this ceremony at sea as the bride and groom exchanged vows and sealed them with a kiss. Thank goodness for small waves that day. As we found out, it is extra challenging to photograph a wedding ceremony while the venue is rocking!
The wedding reception was held at the exclusive Hawaii Yacht Club where the bride and groom were greeted by their happy guests blowing bubbles as the couple disembarked the yacht and started their night of speeches, dancing, and gourmet cupcakes.
This lovely couple got married at the Sheraton Waikiki in Hawaii. This beach-front hotel features gorgeous sunsets, a lively mai-tai bar and infinity pool. This destination wedding ceremony took place out on the lanai over looking the crystal clear blue of the ocean with their reception in the Ni’ihau Room, one of Sheraton’s ballrooms with an attached to the lanai.
These newly-weds have style and class which exuded in their wedding decor and attire. With a sparkling Tiffany & Co ring, an orchid bouquet, and hair and makeup done by Leslie Fair, this bride was absolutely stunning.

L’Amour Photography’s work was featured tonight on VH1′s Wedding Wars premier! You may recognize contestants Mario and Melinda from our previous post of their fun engagement photo session in San Francisco. This gorgeous couple have been together for 12 years and are ready to do anything and everything humanly possible to win their ultimate wedding . Mario and Melinda are battling it out against 11 other couples on VH1′s new reality show to win their dream wedding. Wedding Wars was filmed here on Oahu at Turtle Bay Resort and as we all just learned on Wedding Wars Episode 1, these competitive couples started out their Hawaii get away in the private Ocean Villas. Unfortunately, their relaxing ocean front accommodations were swept out from under them as they headed off into the jungle to get better acquainted with the natural landscapes of Hawaii. Only grass huts, bugs, spiders, rain water, and rice & beans for the rest of the competition! We can already tell, things are about to get ugly. If you missed this episode, you can view it on VH1′s website here.
This beautiful Hawaii destination wedding was held at Loulu Palm Estate on the North Shore of Oahu. We just finished up an 11 inch by 14 inch album of this wedding and wanted to share their album layout with you. The combination of blues and oranges made for a vibrant tropical feel for this all outdoor ceremony and reception. REA Events created canopies with up-lighting for the lounge area and over each reception table to create a more intimate feel on the large estate. Cake Works created a three tier wedding cake with thin layers of white chocolate surrounding the layers giving this wedding cake a truly unique look. Exquisite Hawaiian Wedding designed the vibrant orange orchid centerpieces, bouquets and the hanging wood and floral arrangements for the ceremony aisle. Les Saisons provided the linens, while Beaches and Backyards Catering and Twilight Audio made sure the guests were well fed and fully entertained.

We normally don’t post articles about the gear we use – to us the stars of our work are the special moments we capture. At a recent wedding we took a shot of our flashes while we were setting up and we just couldn’t resist sharing this picture of our affectionatly named ‘Minions.’ These are Nikon SB-900 Flashes sitting upon their soulmates, the PocketWizard Flex TT5.

We were proud to be on the Beta testing team for these amazing units and we can’t say enough good things about them. They have changed the way we shoot and helped make those special moments, the stars of our show, shine even brighter.
Here are a few shots that wouldn’t have been possible without them-

December is such a crazy busy month for us. I have so many wonderful Hawaii weddings to share with you, but in the meantime I wanted to share a little peak at one of our recent weddings at Bayer Estate. Bayer Estate weddings are always wonderful, and this recent Oahu wedding is no exception. The bride and groom were able to say their “I Do’s” amongst their loved ones at this vintage style private estate and its beautiful Christmas decor.

We couldn’t wait any longer to share these Hawaii Trash the Dress photos with you all. We had such a wonderful time with this awesome bride and groom as we all weathered the wind, rain, and breaking waves to get the shot. Many couples like to have “day after photos” or “post-wedding photos,” but this couple was down to actually trash the dress! They climbed down rocky shores, got splashed with waves, rolled around in the sandy shore and finally ended the Trash the Dress session with some fun with spray paint!
